eDreams ODIGEO’s capacity to innovate increases by 118% in the past year

London, January 8th  2019. –  eDreams ODIGEO, Europe’s largest online travel company, today reveals that it has improved its ability to develop new product and services for travellers as a result of its technology and innovation strategy, implemented two years ago. Testament to the in-house development teams’ commitment to better meeting customers’ needs is their ‘test and learn’ approach; which has resulted in a 118%[1] improvement in the team’s ability to trial new products and features across all platforms, compared to the same period last year.

Christoph Dieterle, Chief Product Officer, said: “We have always been a very data-driven company, testing our changes in A/B and multi-variant tests with real customer behaviour. But this year, through the use of accelerated releases in combination with machine learning, we are taking a huge step forward.”

The group’s commitment to harnessing the latest technology to deliver a better service for customers has also enabled development delivery times to be reduced by 48%. This means that changes to all 245 websites and apps can go live much more quickly to meet customers’ needs, in some cases, in as little as 15 minutes. On top of this, automation during releases has now reached 75%. This improved efficiency enables eDreams ODIGEO to redistribute resources more effectively, and to continue innovating for improved customer satisfaction.
